Below front armpit region, not a fatty lump, quite hard, about umm, cherry tomato - size? Not tiny.

Couldn't get an appointment till 3.30 so I'll be taking her on my own which is fine.
If it's not raining too hard we'll walk up there, it's only 5 minutes or so.
It's probably nothing, these things usually are, but best find out ;)

I'll have everything crossed for you. No point in saying most lumps are harmless, you know that and she is your lovely Minnie and you are understandably worried.

Will be sitting waiting for your return

Good luck Di and Minnie xxxx

A new, very young, extremely pretty vet :) (Aunty A doesn't work Fridays anyway).

She said what I hoped she'd say, that on really prodding etc she thinks it is a fatty lump.
She'd have liked to take a sample but it's in a really awkward spot, she'd have had to shave the whole area and didn't reckon she'd be able to get one without sedation.
I said I was happy to wait and watch if she was, so that's what we're going to do.

I 'think' she said that fatty lumps are a side effect of steroids and can often have different characteristics, like this one, harder and more regular than the usual kind. It's hard to concentrate when you're trying to hold a very wet dog still who's panting in your ear, and talking to the vet as well :)

So we'll keep checking on it and take her back if we're worried.
