Is it a heatwave Ally or just regular summer temps? I ask as we were (obviously) in Ibiza last week and it was too hot to move....I assumed it must be the norm until I overheard someone say the Iberian peninsula was having a heatwave  (ETA maybe it's just the mainland)

Home now of course after a fabulous 11 days in gorgeous Ibiza....it's so green and lush, not at all what I expected. I even managed to get a bit of colour, even though I 'shade-bathed' much of the time, under a gorgeous tree in the hotel gardens, with the sound of the sea below and the birds tweeting, all whilst I was reading three books :) .....gorgeous :D Our hotel was lovely, hoping to go back one day :D

Back to work yesterday and now it almost feels as if I've never been away :|

Hugs and hellos to all xxxxxxx

Aww holidays are like that, so 'real' whilst we are there, then they fade almost to a dream when we get home  ;) Sounds blissful :)

Our holidays are usually off peak, but we did go to the Canaries in August once, in 2010, and that was scorchio! Almost 40 degrees every day, a bit too hot really, although with it being a very dry heat I tolerated it pretty well - it's humid heat that finishes me

40+ is normal for July and August Gal - it just feels we've moved ever so slightly nearer Africa this year.

We are inland so the temps can be 7 degrees hotter than on the coast. :o
