Apparently, they took a policy out when he was born Only a small one - his sister said, years ago, when she was clearing out their house, that it wasn't worth a lot and not to worry about, she'll sort it
Matured almost 3 years ago and taken this long to find him - not her
What is it with money and families when the parents are no longer with us
Agreed, some families can be very odd over money! Luckily I trusted my sister implicitly, as she sorted the probate for mum and dad, who died intestate, but then we are close and have never, as adults, fallen out over anything! I would have said the same about M and his brothers at one time, but since the stuff in Cyprus I have been glad that D has made a (very fair) will (she's told me all about that and her pre-paid funeral arrangements) so there will be no arguments, I sincerely trust
Should also add that his sister virtually stripped the house of anything of value, when their mum had to go in a home and shared it between herself, son and daughter.
then asked Grumpy is his boys would like to go and see if there was anything they'd like.
That's how we knew the place had been stripped out.
