I have loads and loads of footwear but they're all flip flops or baseball or DM's.

I possess one pair of 'proper' shoes, black, that I had to buy for Con's funeral.

I've got one pair of very high, very strappy black shoes and I'm not exaggerating when I say that I can't walk in them. I tottered around the bedroom in them to try them before John's office party in 2011, didn't dare attempt the stairs and decided to wear biker boots instead
I must've been able to walk in them once though as I bought them for an event in London and managed the tube and I definitely remember running down Regents St, trying to hail a cab

Actually Jo..this has got me thinking.

The black shoes I mentioned have 3 inch heels and thus elevate me to the dizzy heights of 5 foot 11.
Leilani is 5 foot 1.
She'd be level with my belly button if I wore them.

But the most important thing is..do I really want to pack those shoes to just wear them for the afternoon?
We're going to the Hare and Hounds in Kings Heath afterwards..a venue where my black high heeled shoes would be viewed with suspicion!!
