Was only food shopping Kaz, nothing interesting ;)

Just spoken to the man who owns that lovely big house and he won't drop his price , well, only by a few thousand, so I told him we'll just have to buy the other one.

He then said to come back to him when we've sold ;) ;) so you never know.

Morning all.

Up and out early this morning (5.45am) to walk Millie before it got too hot. She'll have to wait until after 9am for her walk tonight. I tend to take her onto the meadows opposite where I work (5 minutes in the car) as she can charge around after her ball and then go and lie in the river to cool off. She then just goes and stands by the car when she's had enough and wants to go home!!!!

Work until 2pm for me and then I'm nipping to the market and the library before picking L up from school. She's up at her new school today (the secondary school that they go to is on split sites - Yrs 7 and 8 on one site and Yrs 9 and above on another) and was quite nervous when I dropped her off. She's off to a party tonight - my mums neighbours 4 year old. She idolises L.

S is on her third day of work experiences at the vets and is loving it. She has spent the last two days in consultations and has helped with minor operations. She was expecting to be going out and about to the farms today with Dan (the luscious Dan, Millie's saviour) has taken her under his wing. She has been exhausted each night - but not as exhausted as I think she will be next week when she is at the residential home!

Swim for me tonight I think and possibly 30 minutes on the exercise bike. Its too hot to run. I went to my first yoga class last night - it wasn't quite as genteel and relaxing as I thought it would be. Two hours of Ashtanga yoga is actually rather hard and I do ache a little this morning. But I really enjoyed it and I'll be going back again next week.

That's bonkers.

We are a ridiculous country really. We (as a nation) can't cope when its hot, can't cope when it snows and can't cope when its icy.

Get a grip country!!!!

(I am loving this weather - yes, its hot and I'm at work but its summer - this is the sort of weather I want.)

Morning :)
Grabbing a few minutes on here while Bb's been in the shower and now on the phone...he needs this back in a min to do a load of scanning and emailing.

Hot hot hot here obviously, it started off cloudy - we had some huuuuge rumbles of thunder last night but no proper storm.
The house isn't too bad, with every window and door open, plus relevant curtains drawn, and all sorts of objects roped in as doorstops, it's ok :D
That plus doing very little

Oooh radio - Blondie, One Way or Another - can't turn it up as Bb's still on phone to one of the bosses  :P

We need to go into town at some point - himself is out working later so it might be a rush job.
A bit of pootling then, more book-reading - and trying to book a holiday ;) :D

Good trip Ally, that's a nice time to have a flight :)
Kaz I do think the pollen levels are incredibly high, and the humidity's making it quite hard work breathing too - take it easy won't you x

Morning all, lovely and warm here although it has clouded over now. Childminding today, Michael will be in and out as he is going to the local summer project - arts and crafts for an hour this morning and rounders for an hour this afternoon, just as well we are only a five minute walk from the school! Kellie is working her way around the room and chatting away to herself - she pulled herself to standing at home the other day so we are waiting to see if she will do it here today. Quiet evening this evening as we are usually pretty tired when the children are gone  Have a good day everyone :)

It's ridiculous, bonkers indeed

Busy day here, expecting a removal guy between 12-1 and the Red Cross peeps to collect some furniture between 2-3. Need to do lots of phone calls, and stuff online, all admin but it takes time. Hoping we'll get a chance to get out and enjoy the sunshine later this afternoon.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Evening all. Headless chicken Wednesday is over. Music and more then swimming for Oliver and school and drama for Sasha. Her drama group put on a play today. For a girl who couldn't read her script at the beginning of term, then didn't want to practice her lines, and didn't know where her script was from Thursday till Wednesday morning, somehow she managed to memories all of her lines, and did really really well! (Better than the children 3 years older than her) lovely clear voice and full of confidence. I'm so proud of her.
