We are surrounded by bats.

I hate bats with a passion. They terrify me. I have been known to come home sobbing when I've walked Millie up the lane in the dark - the bats swoop around between the street lamps. Petrify me they do.

I don't like moths either but they don't reduce me to tears!

Awww Debih, they do swoop about don't they.
I was a bit worried about the huge fruit bats in Sri Lanka, but those here are mostly about the size of the end of your little finger, some a bit bigger.
They do a good job, a single tiny bat eats 3,000 mosquitoes a night

I do hate those photos of close-ups of their faces, they are damned ugly and evil-looking!
