Jo..I was saying I was reading The Chocolate Girls by Annie Murray.

I also said it was the first one I'd read of hers and was going to try and get all her others.

Well..I've just been looking in my HUGE pile of books to be read and lo and behold..I've just found Annie Murray's 'Miss Purdy's Class'
I'm delighted! :D :D :D :D

Have you read this one?

I'm on a mission in Birmingham's charity shops next month.

I read the Chocolate Girls too and loved it, but haven't yet read any others. She's in my little notebook though, for charity shop spotting ;)

  I also have a little notebook Di..purely for jotting down authors.

It's great though. Once I find an author I like (oh, that'll be zillions then! ), I like to write down all their books.
Many times (especially in the fab charity shops in Brum and Nottingham) I've been glad to have my little book with me. :D :D

I read a lot of great reviews for The Chocolate Girls and downloaded it to the kindle and was quite disappointed by it. I found it very predictable. I hate when you think you've found a new author to read and the nyou don't like the book.

Can't believe you found another  You'd better organise them otherwise you might buy duplicates when you're over here

Not read that one yet but it's at my Mom's ready for me to read whenever I want it. I've not bought any for my Kindle for about 2 weeks now so at least I've not added to my to read folder

Jo..I got all comfy on the bus today going into work, got Water Gypsies out and was sitting reading the story outline on the back page when I came across the words:

Water Gypsies is a sequel to The Narrowboat Girl!!

Now I need to get a hold of that one first.

The good news is I've just sorted all my books to be read into alphabetical order and ticked off Annie's books that I had down to buy which I've now got!

I checked last night and she has that one too so I know which one to read first now, though no doubt she'd have put me straight beforehand

Just browsing on Amazon last night and there's a new one for pre-order called The Women Of Lilac Street so that'll be Mom's birthday present part-sorted ;)
