Good morning Wednesday

Postby Ally » 10 Jun 2015, 06:10

Good morning.

Hot and sunny. 8-) 8-)

According to Birmingham Airport's website Don's flight took off 11 minutes late so he should be landing about 10.30 this morning. :D Hurrah he got there for his mum's birthday and hurrah he isn't too delayed in coming home. :D

I'm having a swim then marking some exam papers until I leave to go and pick hubby up. :D :D :D

Work 4 - 8 then meeting Don in town for a few beers and a lovely catch up. :D :D :D

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all - another lovely sunny start to the day but I am now very sick and tired of this cold wind; it needs to go away! I'm tired this morning - went out for a drink with a work colleague last night and ended up getting home later than planned and by the time I sorted out the various animals that needed feeding it was way past my usual bed time; never good so early on in the week... it's going to be a long day; sigh

Safe travels home to Don today Ally - so glad he made it for J's birthday
Also have to ask Cruiser - washing the cat? Made of metal with four wheels I suspect? :P
What is Portugal Day about Ton; what do they do to celebrate it? I have been invited to a Portuguese BBQ this coming Saturday - a lady I know from my commute; she and her partner are Portuguese; have invited :) Will be fun to meet new people.

have a lovely day all x

Dia de Portugal, de Camoes e das Comunidades Portuguesas :D :D :D

Basically, it's a celebration of the life of Luis de Camoes, who was a litrary person but it also a celebration of everyone living in Portugal. Communities and persons.

Morning :)
Hmm, lovely and bright here but so windy still! Not quite so cold as yesterday but I think that's just because there's more sun :?
The washing's drying nicely which is the only compensation - I keep thinking I'll get some gardening done but it's really not very nice plus that wind is too strong.

BB's here working, hence I hadn't been on here yet.
Bits and pieces of this and that for me today.
Glad there were no delays Ally :)
The barbeque sounds fun meriad :)
Hope you all have a good day

Morning all. Gorgeous here, though Im stuck in the office most of the day.

I've been to Sainsburys this morning (to return the glasses that we hired for the "do" yesterday) and I had a mooch around their clothes section. Nothing. Not a sausage could I find (well, I could have found a sausage if I were looking in the sausage section) that appealed to me. So I bought some new pants.

Busy at work (I'm on my coffee break) sorting out from yesterday. Picking S and L up from school today so S can go and do her induction at the vets ready for her work placement in a couple of weeks. Out for a shuffle along the canal later when its cooled down a little.

Its Guides tonight but I'm keeping out of the organising who's taking and who's fetching back in the hope that I'll get out if it!! There are 3 of us that do it - one has two daughters that go there and back (plus a friend that just goes - her mum brings her back) and another has one daughter that goes (she struggles to fetch back as her husband usually plays squash on a Wednesday and she can't leave her youngest daughter at home alone and pick up is quite late at 9.15). But that means that there are always 5 of them going and 4 of them coming back. I'm the only one that doesn't have a six seater car so I always get stuck with bringing back. And if one mum does the bringing back she refuses to drive up our lane which means I have to go out anyway to fetch Lucy from hers! Big sigh (moan over).
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!

Morning all.....well almost

Not sure the weather's decided what to do yet, one minute overcast the next sunny :?

We're off out to the village shortly, need some more salad stuff, might take a stroll around the harbour weather permitting.

Hope you all have a good day :D
