I am sunk in doom amd gloom

Quick whizz down to the village - actually managed to get some risotto rice :D :D

BUT, the b&b that has been up for sale for 15 odd years has sold - with mvp
Another house round the corner is up for sale - with remax
A house down the road has sold - with remax - and that was within 3 months :o

Thae mvp people seem to be selling a lot of houses around here - we're stuck with remax until September, but will investigate. I think they may be selling the houses cheaply, as a lot of houses that have been with other companies have gone with them and sold, very quickly.

I'm sunk in doom and gloom because so many houses seem to be up for sale and yes, they are selling quite cheaply, some of them. But we really can't afford to drop more than andother 5,000.

I think what it is - I know the market has been very very slow here, I do appreciate that - but the fact that every-one, but every-one who has seen our house has said what lovely house it is.

So why are they not buying it?? I know a couple of viewings haven't actually had the money  and a couple were just looking for "something to buy in Fuzeta" but we were really hoping that Remax would sell - and quickly.

Once the contract is signed, it's plain sailing, just need their signature and deposit. We don't even need a solicitor :D

And the same for us buying, although we will use a solicitor, just to be on the safe side, as it will probably be private sale.

And the fact that we sold our house in Sodbury in a matter of weeks - within 2 months, we were here

Well my recent experience is only of selling and it was a nightmare  Mind you, we are seeing quite a few houses around here that went on the market in or around the same time as ours and they have not yet sold. I really feel for you, Ton, it's so stressful xxx

Thanks Osc - it's not stressful, just blasted annoying - it's the waiting more than anything. And having to keep the house in an almost pristine condition for over 2 and a half years.............

I just get very crabby - being a cancarian

I feel your pain Ton, keeping our house in pristine condition for a couple of months last summer was trying enough, but 2 and a half years    Keeping fingers tightly crossed a buyer comes along soon xxx

Ton, try not having the place pristine for a while. Leave it as it would normally be to give it that 'homely' feel. What's to lose?
