Spot on Kaz

Thanks for the links Frank I'll have a good read in a minute. 120 euro is nothing to him so I suspect he'll go with a transfer.
Saundra, I've emailed the hotel to see if they have a service but haven't heard back yet

Just got in from work Ria and seen this - can't add much to it. ;)

I'd be thinking about 120 euro from the airport to Ronda - it's a long and windy road.

I'd rather pay that though, than have a car just sitting there not being used. :D :D

And of course, if you don't know the area it's a bonus letting someone drive you there. :D :D

ETA - I'd love to go up the Shard Saundra :D .....not sure we'll have time the day we're there as we've got loads planned.

Thanks for thinking of me. xx

Well, the hotel has come back with a quote of €140 for the trip which ties in with what everyone else here has said which is very good (usually they add a hefty surcharge :) )

I suspect I'll be booking that mode of transport in the course of the day :-)

thanks again everyone

So, that's two hours in Pedro's 20 year old Merc with his Crucifix, Rosary beads and statues of the Virgin Mary and St Christopher on the dash.

   Funny you say that Frank. I forwarded the quote from the hotel to my manager and he was worried about exactly the same thing. However, it now turns out that he has a friend that lives over there who regularly uses a luxury car company (ie air-conditioned Mercedes with all the bells and whistles and decent suspension ;) ) so we're waiting to hear back on that one.

They do make me laugh sometimes.... but then if I didn't laugh I'd cry because their real world is so far apart from my real world. They just have no idea :? sigh

No, but it's something I agree it's fair enough to spend on if you can afford it.
The train's brill, but you have to get you and your luggage from the plane to the train, and then the other end from the train to wherever you're going...if someone will meet you, put the cases in the car and then you sit back and enjoy the scenery, why not? :)
No point working like crazy to earn decent money and not treat yourself :)
