Gooood morning!!!!!

June 1st is the start of the (meteorological) summer so bring it on!!!!!!!   We are promised high 20s by the end of the week, I do so hope they're right!!

In the meantime it's typical Glawster weather here, ie peeing down, so I'll be trooping off to Weightwatchers under an umbrella  B said last night that she'd walk into town with me, to go to the gym, but no signs of life yet! I think I'll set Peps and Fraggle on her shortly........

Have a good day all :) xxxx

Morning all

Ally and Ton, I am super jealous. I am more than ready for that warmer weather that Kaz is talking about. On Saturday the long term forecast for next week was 29 degrees for this coming weekend, but as of this morning it's dropped right down to 23 / 24 :( . I finally put my summer duvet on the bed yesterday and ended up being cold; a 2nd blanket will be required for a few more nights I feel- sigh

Kaz, make sure you hide a dog biscuit or two in B's bed before you let the dogs in - that'll be sure to wake her

Usual work day for me today - including chasing up on a delivery that was meant to be on Saturday and wasn't! Apparently due for delivery today but I'm not home to sign for it so not sure what will happen. It's with Yodel who always delivery my stuff for the cats and I have never had a problem with (I know I know - I'm one of the lucky ones) so I hope they'll do the same for this delivery and just leave it for me.

Have a lovely day everyone

Morning :)
We had lovely blue sky earlier but followed by rain - then heavier rain
I shall try and ignore it and get on with the usual Mondayish jobs...after this coffee ;)
Nothing else going on today - also looking forward to this promise of summer

Morning all :D

Woke up to sunshine, much nicer than the rain we had yesterday. We've been really lucky with the weather here, or does it just seem that way because waking up to views of the sea cheers me up so much :? I'm still in the honeymoon period of living at the seaside, it's been a dream for so many years, I'm still like a child every time we walk along the seafront :D

It's physio this morning. Must say I wasn't looking forward to it last time, my back was really sore that morning, but after she'd finished (a bit painful!!) it was so much better and hasn't been nearly as sore since. Fingers crossed it's not too horrid today. If the weather stays nice, and as we'll be there, we'll probably have a stroll along Broadstairs seafront for a change. Afterwards we need to pop into the village to collect a prescription.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning! Lovely morning here so far.

Today holds going to the bank and then looking for new door handles for internal doors. Sheesh.

Could be a bit tricky, because ours look about thirty years old, with massive round 65 mm roses (and a corresponding massive hole in the door) and a 2 3/4 inch internal pawl. "Standard" pawls seem to be 2 1/2 inch or 3 inch. This should be fun!

Have a good day everybody.

Morning all - back to work for me today. It took me over an hour just to sort through everything that people had dumped on my desk!

Run later and then home to finish off the rhubarb stuff.

Then bath and early night tonight - I slept really badly last night.

Afternoon all, 1st of June? Looks at calendar So it is, but it is like 1st March here  dull, grey, and the rain is just starting, plus we have an orange weather alert for strong winds. Bank holiday Monday and Miss Osc has gone to run the Dublin Women's mini marathon - rather her than me  On the plus side, I have all the ironing done, am going to do officey stuff this afternoon and we did manage a walk as it was a little bit brighter earlier on (although I was wearing gloves and had my hood up). Have a good day everyone :)
