I do loads of batch cooking MM.

I buy the plastic takeaway cartons with lids from Costco and use them to freeze portions in - they stack in the freezer really well. I mainly do mince - I have a Mainstay Mince recipe which is cooked for hours but can be used for so many things. I take out a couple of cartons the night before to defrost and then alter it the next day. Sometimes I add some extra tomatoes and tomato puree and serve it as a bolognaise/lasagne, sometimes I add mashed potatoes to the top for a cottage pie, sometimes I use ready rolled pastry and make litle patties.

I will post the recipe later on in the week.

I will root out my chicken, white bean, cabbage and mashe spud one - it less than an hour, doing all the prep included, until it's on the table.

Thank you all so much. We had roast beef in the slow cooker tonight, so that was easy.

I really have no interest in cooking whatsoever, although I love food.

Don't worry about the mince recipe Deb, I can make savoury mince and suppose I should and freeze it

I am master of a very nice quick dinner.

Tinned (dog) meat, yoghurt and water.

Millie seems to like it anyway.
