It was on BBC4 tonight 2hrs of no noise except birds and water
It was lovely so relaxing

it really was lovely MM not a sound
on sunday night it was 2 half hr programs about a glass blower /and a metal worker
tonight its about a woodkeeper i think

Same as the Handmade series.... just people making things from start to finish, with no annoying commentary.

It is a Scandinavian thing nicknamed SlowTV.

I have a program on the computer which plays soothing sounds - birdsong, running water, jungle. These TV shows are the visual version. One channel in Norway has one of a burning log fire, ideal for winter evenings when reading a book.

It is addictive! :D :D :D

It's a bit of a waste of two hours though isn't it.

Watching a canal boat moving down a canal.

Nice, peaceful but pointless.

It is mildly hypnotic and therefore very relaxing, I think pointless is the whole point ;) :lol:

Being as I never go out at night I find it a joy to watch without the usual audiences false laughter
And it wasn't a wast of 2hrs I sat knitting
