Oh good luck to Craig and Leilani - I'm sure they'll have a fab time in NY. Of my friends that have had a stint there not a single one has had a bad thing to say about it and all have totally and completely loved every minute of it. But interestingly enough; they've all been quite happy to move back to the UK when the time came.

You know Ally that's one thing I always hugely appreciated about my mom; same as you and Don - she always encouraged us to follow our heart and as much as it upset her when we did move further away she never ever tried to stop us. Thankfully one of us was always living close to home / mom so she never was alone (dad passed away in 1985) but it must have really been tough for her at times

How exciting for Craig and Leilani! As mums, we just have to let them go with our blessing, don't we :( At one stage there was a possibility of Miss Osc and SIL moving to NY before they were married, but thankfully it didn't happen. Think how much fun you will have visiting them there though.

Absolutely what Osc said! Such exciting times :D

Do you know, for all T misses the grandkids all the time, for all they live only 5 mins away by car, he'd love for D and J to up sticks and move somewhere that they can earn decent money and have a better life, and if that meant emigrating then so be it. It's all we want for our kids isn't it?

I wish them well xx

I think Becks will live abroad eventually, rehabilitating wildlife such as you get in Africa or Canada is her plan, she has decided that zoo or wildlife park work is not for her, her kick comes from seeing them go free again........ I would miss her like mad, but she'll go with my blessing and a smile. It's what mums and dads do, innit? :? ;)

NY - how exciting for them.

Sad for you but such an adventure for them.
