Morning everyone

A bit grey here and some wet stuff is forecast, but hopefully not this morning

We're off to the car boot in Santa Caterina, I need new books  then onto Tavira to check over a friends house - air it out and make sure no damp.

Then back for footie and I'm going to see if this lecky oven is up to doing a chicken and mushroom pie.

Stay warm and safe over the, hope all poory ones are feeling better, have as good a day as possible xxx

There was heavy rain when I got up. Went in the car to get the paper. There is some blue sky and the sun is shining. Most of the snow has gone. Not doing much today. May have a couple of glasses of wine tonight.

Morning all. Cor - it absolutely threw it down last night. We had the works - torrential rain, thunder, lightening, high winds.

There is still loads of snow around and the lane is very, very slushy (that'll be fun if it freezes tonight) but as I look down into the village all the lanes seem clear there and the snow gone.

We are having a lazy day today. I am still in my pj's and am intending on spending this afternoon reading. L is currently baking biscuits to take to school this afternoon and when she has finished S is coming to bake brownies. They are rather limited in their choice as I don't have many ingredients in.

:D :D :D It's gone!!!! :D :D :D

Morning all, just a bit happy that the snow has finally gone! It was quite a mild and rainy night and we woke to a lovely almost clear street and gardens, it's lovely to see some colour rather than just white and grey. The sun is shining too, although there's a bitterly cold wind.

I've just taken Billy for a walk, Joe's up in the den on his X Box, John's visiting his Mom and Tom's caught the train into Birmingham with some friends. I'm trying to catch up on some TV too.

Have a good day everyone!

Loads of snow still here, despite a massive thaw and lots of sunshine (well we did have a lot to begin with). It's extremely windy though and the wind is bringing squally showers so it isnt pleasant to be out in.....a trip to the seaside was planned as I checked the tides last night and they were in our favour, but no chance of going today, we'd get blown into the sea

So just done a load of bedding in the wash and about to make my third coffee of the day :D

Jen is away in Sheffield for the weekend and I am expecting her back later this evening....probably.....

Have a lovely Sunday xxx

Afternoon :)
Lovely here, bright and sunny, yippeeee :D
Glad most of the snow is going, Gal hope yours follows.

I've spent the day so far in the kitchen and on the computer, but what I was trying to do has defeated me for now. To save the printer from being chucked out of the window have stopped trying :D Will post on computer board at some point.

I've cooked one pack of sausages - all gone - so another 4 in the oven, with the last turkey joint which will be for several days' sandwiches.
Shoulder of pork joint (morrisons offer,£2.25 p kg) has been hacked about. A big pack in the freezer for chilli-making, and the rest is in the slow cooker á la Nigel, with pomegranate mollases, lemon and garlic :D

Boys are now all watching Cowboys & Aliens, which I can live without, so am catching my breath :)
Enjoy the rest of the day
