Good morning all.

It's quite a pleasant one here, but a bit cooler than yesterday.
This morning I'm preparing my programme of Golden Oldies for next week's Music Night,
then it's shopping this afternoon.

Hope you are all on form and enjoying this taste of Spring.

Morning all :D

Reasonably bright here, hoping it stays dry long enough for us to get out and do a proper shop. Feeling much better this morning, still got the snots, but the headache is now just slightly there rather than the full on heaviness of the last few days.

Hope you all have a good day :D

We have a huuuge seagull problem here in Gloucester, one of the worst in the country :? The problem is they are not allowed to cull them, and other containment methods such as oiling eggs have failed :?

We have docks here, and water, so that brings them but the main problem is a massive tip on the edge of town. They come into the city centre and are very aggressive in their pursuit of food, often swoop and attack, and also rip open rubbish bags which contributes to the run down look of parts of the city. They mess on people too, it has happened to me once or twice. I now walk down the middle of the pedestrian streets, because if you walk close to the edge of the buildings you will likely get messed on :x They are very big, with wingspans of several feet, and quite scary :? :(

Gosh Kaz that's horrendous! I have a bird phobia and the thought of those gurt huge things doing all that stuff in the city fills me with horror!

Durham has gulls and pigeons, most of which of the latter congregate in the market square, so I tend to just avoid them when walking about as they are on foot, but the gulls seem to merge on and above bridges, of which there are several, and you really can't avoid walking over at least one or two....and some people find feeding them a delight, which scares the bejesus out of me when they swoop to get something
