It would probably make things worse if I asked whether it was the 5 week lead time, or the cottages, or the areas, or the owners that were the problem, so I had better not. ;) :) :)

Lol Debih welcome to my world :D
I've had this for years, thanks to boys' mother agreeing 'absolutely' that they should have a summer holiday with us, and even suggesting which week, but then somehow managing to block actual dates...

I do it voluntarily as well though, both here and abroad; always find something :D
But it can be a full-time job for a week or so ;)

The problem has been the lack of ideal properties.

We've found loads that are good except for one thing - no bedding, no parking, no garden, etc.

We have now found the perfect one so am hoping it is still available when the cheque clears (probably Thursday). But I did find a back up perfect one.

If not there are plenty where we can compromise.

Oh God Di yes.

I am dreaming holiday cottage sites!

We are usually pretty lazy and go back to the same place year in, year out. So finding somewhere new has been horrific!
