:D i upset a few people today rodo by stating we need a few decent shops here
apart from a half decent m/s and a clapped out boyes store

we need wilkinsons the rang home bargains
we dont even have a decorating supplies shop or even to buy a nice table lamp or light shades
   to some people
but we dont like to be like everybody else they said
( the retired oldies who still like axminster carpets and G plan furniture
brilliant in there time but way past there sell by date
so i will continue to shop on line and ignore the local shops
that dont get modern and trendy
what else do you do on a wet sunday afternoon

But is that not why she was asking Rodo, so she didn't take them where people wouldn't be happy? Don't go to Cornwall. There's often more dogs than people there

No, she never mentioned dogs at all, just asking for recommendations. It wasn't until I posted what I did that we got the reaction.

I am allergic to dogs and cats, and the odd thing is that if I go to somebody's house where there are pets, they seem to make a beeline for me. It's odd really. It's something to do with their fur I think. I just keep at a distance, but I'm not against them in principle. There was an article on Facebook recently where a lovely little dog had seen his Missus collapse and had gone in and pressed the emergency button. He was a lovely little thing too.

I don't know, but it's a family joke   Even the hotel cats in Cyprus did it  I don't dislike them at all, my mum had cats when I was growing up and I loved them, but obviously now I am so severely allergic I prefer to keep a safe distance
