I couldn't agree with you more, saundra, I've always thought that about these big lottery payouts .....

As for what to do with the money, I'm minded about that couple in Dundee or somewhere who spent a considerable sum funding the Scottish Nationalist Party over the referendum - and arguably by doing so, they will have left a permanent mark on the affairs of this country. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing, I'll leave to others to decide ....

If it were me, I think I'd give a sizeable chunk away to charities, smaller ones where I knew the money would "make a difference" .....

It would be a full-time job!
I'd quite enjoy it - I'd give a lot to established charities, though not the best-known ones, and for medical research. Some people I know are looking to start up a charity so that would get a chunk to get them going.

And I wouldn't own much - I'd rent a nice house here (but not toooo big), and rent abroad wherever and whenever I fancied.
It wouldn't buy my health though Also - I'd need to first buy a ticket

I would buy new printers for my local clinic, sort out their electrics and computers - they were without anything for 10 days not so long ago

I'd also help out some of the really poor bods in our village and make sure that those people who have to use the communal cold water wash - I'll see if I can find a link somewhere - have hot water to wash their clothes in.

You wouldn't think, in this day and age, that there are some people in this country, without running water. They have to use these wash-rooms - remember the old wash-boards? My grandparents had one, but until we moved here, hadn't seen one for years.

And yes, I'd try and help asthma, cancer and bods in my position.

Most people just need peace of mind a decent house and some cash in a crisis

I think the responsibility of that amount of money would be huge but image the good you could do with it

I think it would cause a lot of problems though in your family life unless it was all rock solid! One or two million would be a lot more manageable

I would make sure my children were financially secure but not to the extent that it would take away their independence and I would spend a lot of time abroad maybe even emigrate but certainly travel Mick could retire

My wonderful friends Jan and Carlos who run Dogs in Brazil would never have to worry about money again

I heartily agree Aggers. Just looking at the repulsive creature when he promoting Miliband made me physically nauseous.
