Our lovely new estate agent - or is that a contridiction in terms?? - reckons that if this lot don't buy, then she'll make just one more visit

The mum wanted an apartment in our village - cost, about 270,000. Son wants a house. Ours is priced at half ish of the apartment, then they can do the downstair bedrooom, put a pool in.

I like Carla, she is very prett.... err, efficient.

You grab the mum and show her the possibilities of her own place and pool. Let Grumps grab the son and talk money and mum in her home from home, but tucked out of the way. ;) 8-)

Been so worried tonight!!

Tom was working this afternoon, we didn't know what time he was finishing. After tea we took Billy up the Chase and we were a couple of miles away from the car when I got a text from M saying "Can you ask Tom to answed his phonw please", typed just like that. I was about to reply to say we were out when Joe rang to say that M had just called the house phone looking for Tom, she sounded upset and she'd said that he was due to finish work at 4.30 and go to her house but she hadn't heard anything from him, it was just gone 7.30 by then.

My head was saying that it was a lovely Bank Holiday Monday and someone would've decided that they didn't want to work so Tom had worked extra hours, but the panicky worried Mother in me was saying that he was stressing over exams and had had enough :? I texted M to ask if she'd actually been to the restaurant to see if he was still there. After all, she's just a 5 minute walk away but I had no reply. We both called Tom's phone and sent texts too. We were on our way back to the car to go and see if he was in work as I'd still not had a reply from M. I sent her another text asking if she'd heard from him (her phone was engaged) and I didn't get a reply to that either.

Just as we got to the car my phone rang and it was Tom. My head was right - someone had called in sick so he'd worked an extra three and a half hours. I dread to think how many missed calls were on his phone from M. If I remember correctly she rang him 9 times in the space of a few minutes while he was in the shower on Christmas Day.
