Oh (((Di))) I am so sorry to hear that you are not well. There have been some really weird bugs about this winter, and some are worse than others.

When these things strike I tend to go for Dioralyte, to keep the salts and sugars in balance, and drink lots of fluids, if I can keep them down, and if it has not cleared up in a few days to get in touch with my GP.

I am not keen on things like Immodium as they only tend to mask the underlying problem.

Wm without going into details most people wouldn't want to read it's very drastic which is why I phoned this morning. An ordinary upset-tum type thing wouldn't concern me at all. The general advice seems to be if it's 48 hours with no improvement seek medical advice
The Dr said I should carry on taking Imodium - it sure ain't masking anything lol, but helping keep me out of certain room for a couple of hours if I'm lucky.

Dioralyte is a really good idea and my pharmacist suggested Peptobismol too

Thanks Mm, just looked up Peptobismol it looks a good idea as it says it kills e coli too; Bb's going out for supplies soon so I've added it to the list.
