I would have thought so too Di, I had honestly never heard of this before. I put leftover rice, risotto, whatever, into a Tupperware type box, let it cool a bit then into the fridge or freezer. Never ever been ill from doing this, and have done so all my adult life
Same as you, Kaz. My kitchen has no heating, so is cold, and once food goes cold it goes in the fridge or freezer. If rice goes in the fridge I use it within 48 hours. If not I freeze it.
I am convinced that these food H&S experts, for obvious reasons, err on the safe side.
I would have added a bit more stock to Shell's dish and made sure it was piping hot.
\well to be honest the second attempt was bloody 'andsome, whereas I don't think the first one would have been, so I have no regrets. I only had to buy the chicken and quinoa again, and used my £5 Morrisons voucher
