Weka, Lissie has a photo on the Photo board and it seems to show that North Island escaped most of the worst of Pam, but it was close. It's good to hear that you are all OK. Get those gloves on and get digging. ;) :lol:

Thanks for your concern all. A smidgen closer and it could have been very different. And now the sun is back out again, and boy, is it humid!!

The sun is out now. Gisborne seems to have come through ok, a few evacuations and roads under water, but in general, ok.

Thoughts to those so badly affected; I hope that aid gets to them asap and that they can start rebuilding :(
