8 hours with Di today felt like 8 minutes!
She'd texted me before I left this morning to say Bb wasn't coming so it was just going to be us ladies.
We met (and ran towards each other
) outside the train station and immediately decided a beer was the first thing needed whilst we planned the day. The barman was funny, charming and also rather dashing...things were looking good.
We walked to La Termica to the John & Yoko exhibition which was great and after a toilet inspection (
) went to the first chiringuito, found a table right on the beach where we ordered a beer, fish and salad.And another beer.
And another beer.
And then a vodka.
No exaggeration.....the vodka might as well have been poured into two buckets!
It was nearing the end of said vodka session that I casually glanced at my watch...only to discover we'd been sitting having lunch for over 3 hours!
Just being Spanish really.
It was as we were leaving/stumbling/staggering (that was me
) that I realised walking on sand was actually quite difficult when one has slightly imbibed. We walked back to the station and accidentally on purpose fell into a small drinking establishment for 'one for the road/train/bus'
I saw Di into Maria Zambrano, pressed the right buttons on the machine
and got her a ticket to Torremolinos....and waved her off.Thank you Di for a truly wonderful, laughter filled and joyous day.
Next time we'll do the castle.....and THEN start drinking.
