I do Saundra. At the moment I'm using Sainsburys oats (not the basics, but their own brand).

I weigh my oats out because of weight watchers (30g) and put them in a small glass bowl with a lid. Then I add a couple of tablespoons of natural yoghurt and some milk - enough milk to just cover but you sort of get used to how much to put in depending on the consistency you like it to be. Then I give it a stir and add a handful of still frozen mixed berries, put the lid on my bowl and put it in the fridge. I usually do it around 8pm.

Then at around 7am I take it out of the fridge and eat it at around 8am. You can eat it straight from the fridge but I find it too cold. You could microwave it - but in my opinion if you're going to do that you may as well just make porridge!

Don't really do breakfast ..... just a nice strong mugga tea and a packet of those Belvita apricot crunch biscuits.

If we're going out shopping at the local farm shop, I may have a light breakfast (toast, rasher, sausage, black pudding slice, beans, tomato, mushrooms, poached egg and coffee), while Mrs O has a coffee.

If we're going out visiting the library or doing busy jobs in the local "village", I may have an all-you-can-eat breakfast for £3.99 at the local carvery (usually 8 rashers, 3 hash browns, 4 fried eggs, 5 plum tomatoes) and coffee. I'm very restrained, note, no sausages, beans or toast .... Mrs O has a coffee .....

Sometimes Master O tips out of bed early on a Saturday morning and brings back a take-away McDonalds for two ..... Mrs. O has a McDonalds coffee ..... :D

I always have a proper breakfast, can't start the day without it. A slice of melon, porridge made with 1/3 soya milk, 2/3 water, and finished off with cinnamon, soya milk and very occasionally maple syrup, a homemade white scone with Flora and apricot jam or apple jelly if we have it, and a large mug of Earl Grey tea. Like Gal, I have to have my porridge all year round, and I try to replicate that breakfast as much as I can if I'm away, although obviously it is not always possible.

Diet? What diet? :? :? :? :D

Lest you think the Ostrich is a glutton, I would say that the farm shop breakfast is roughly once a week and the all-you-can-eat breakfast is roughly twice a month ....
