Oxo cubes I still have, thanks to Di and another friend and I've also got used to the stuff we have here.

it's more the spices we can't get, as the Portuguese are not the best of cooks.

Meat and chips is the norm.

Bummer. I was hoping to fill the suitcase with Madras curry powder, cumin, coriander, cloves, cardamoms (green and black), cinnamon, cayenne pepper, paprika, fenugreek, wasabi, tamarind....

Ah well, I'll just have to enjoy them myself.
