I truly cannot complain. I saw my doctor around ten days ago as I have been in a great deal of pain. I was due for a mammogram (that I had) but in the meantime my doctor had contacted my Oncologist stating that she was concerned about my health and weight loss.
Within days my Consultant contacted me stating he wanted to see me within three days rather than in a months time as previously arranged. He is marvellous, down to earth and following examining me he stated that he wanted me to have a bone scan as suggested by my GP. Keeping my fingers crossed that all is well. I certainly cannot complain about our surgery, if one has an appointment for 10 a.m. one is seen at that time. Excellent doctors, excellent caring staff. Great Oncologists in the Macmillan unit we are so lucky. However it is a different story in our adjoining town. the surgery that cost 3.4M is not fit for purpose built outside of the town making it difficult for people to get to it., "The doctor who fought for it to be built has "resigned"!!! and is earning £1,000 a day working in his profession in a supermarket.
Hundreds of patients in limbo. a two hours or more wait to see a doctor, three doctors are remaining to care for the population of the town, all the others have left." talk about wasting money"
