Info on the John & Yoko exhibition in Malaga.
The exhibition features the legendary photos taken by Bruno Vagnini in room 1742 of the Queen Elizabeth hotel in Montreal during the "bed-in" staged by John Lennon and Yoko Ono in protest against the Vietnam War.
The 30 images by Vagnini illustrate one of the key moments in the history of 20th century music and art. What's more, this "happening-protest", was also the scenario for the recording of the famous anthem "Give peace a chance".
The show is conceived as one huge installation formed by three spaces: the first containing the photos, along with an introductory text by Yoko Ono where she talks about the "bed-in" 44 years on; the second displaying fragments of film and musical creations by John & Yoko; and the third with items and photos of both artists in their solo careers and as a conceptual art group.
