This blasted country and red tape

Postby tonicha » 26 Feb 2015, 13:44

We got to the stoma clinic a bit early, so stopped for a coffee across the road. Over comes a lady, with a load of bags. Berlimey, I said, better go over quickly before they run out - it's obviously not just me, then ;)

Ludres couldn't find my form - so I had to fill in another one  But, I'm only allowed to write my name and address, she has to do everything else

Then comes the sticking point. Unless I have a prescription from my doctor, I will have to pay for the bags. And also a letter from her, saying I do actually have a stoma

Then, she needed a photocopy of either my passport or residencia. No, I couldn't use the office one, I had to go and do it myself - elsewhere

Honestly, you can't make it up   Why on earth she couldn't tell me all of this when I made the appointment is beyond me.

So we came back and I hared it over to the clinic, hoping to catch my doctor. She'd just left

But I will collect my prescription on Monday, as we're seeing Ludres again on Tuesday.

But the lovely Ana from the Bombeiros came over this afternoon and is checking with her boss, Luis, to make sure they can take both cookers.

So that's good :D :D
