Afternoon all. Lovely and sunny here now but was woken at 5am by pouring rain and howling winds.

Another day at head office for me today, finishing the job I started last week. But I've finished and am just grabbing a coffee before I leave. Nip into Morrisons for a salad for my lunch (my preferred option is KFC but I'm being good), then to B&M Bargains for washing liquid, Aldi for bits and pieces and then home to hoover.

Its our book group tonight and I'm hosting - we take it in turns. There are 10 of us so we only have to host once a year (we aren't meeting in August and December is our xmas meal) but when we do host we provide all the wine, cake, etc. I made two cakes yesterday (Hairy Dieters carrot and sultana cake) and a gin and tonic cake and now need to go and buy wine.

Good afternoon all, it's sunny here at the moment but another day where it can't decide what to do as it's been grey on and off all morning.

I went to the gym first thing. Billy hasn't had a walk yet as I don't think he'd appreciate getting wet again, he wasn't happy being caught in a heavy sleet shower last night on the Chase (and, truth be told, neither were we). We took a shortcut back to the car and he walked very, very close inbetween us, trying to shelter, and when John opened the boot to let him jump in he was straight in even before it had fully opened

Anyway, the ironing is done and I just need to hoover up on the top floor. Hopefully it'll dry up later so that we can go for a long walk over the common before it gets dark so I'll get some potato wedges prepared for dinner before we go.

Good afternoon all.

The weather's a bit mixed here now - sunshine, then rain, and even a few flakes of
snow, plus a cold wind. We won't be going far - that's for sure.

I'm feeling a little better now, but tired. Mrs A is suffering much more than I did,
mainly because the pain-reducing drugs she takes for her peripheral nerve damage
are producing unpleasant side effects, no doubt due to the fact that she has lately
been eating less food. But we're helping each other along.

I hope you are all well, and that you don't pick up this horrible bug that is affecting us.
