They're only £1 a bag Kaz, and tbh if you're cooking for two not bad value.
If I chop them in my mini-chopper instead it's even worse, as you take the lid off all that juice gets you  :D

W/rose also do a bag of tiny-diced onion, carrot & celery mix, ideal for things like Bolognese especially if you don't normally have celery - we do but not when it's expensive.

I really did not think that it was such a problem for so many of you seeing that I do not suffer in the slightest.

When I was chopping this huge onion I got a flash of Ria (Wendy Craig in Butterflies. not our VV Ria) with her pink Marigolds and frilly pinney bawling her eyes out as she chopped an onion and thought it was artistic exaggeration.... and it did make me laugh.

Then I got to thinking of Dad's Army and gas mask drills.....

Phew, you had me worried there for a second Frank

Onions definitely make me cry so the frozen ones are fab to have in the house. Never tried having them in boiling water or anything - may give that a go next time

I realised a while ago that if I'd had shallots in boiling water forma minute or two (easier to peel), then chopping them was tearless :)
Tricky on the timing though, if you leave them in just a bit too long it's much harder to chop them ;)
