Good Morning Sunday

Postby Diflower » 15 Feb 2015, 09:27

Morning all :)
Still dull here but some sun is promised for later.

The Cricket world cup has started so I'm happy as at least I can have it on the radio - would rather watch but hey-ho, better than nothing :)
Friend called in yesterday, she is staying at her house down here until (she thinks) about the end of March. She's hoping to feel better and get rid of a cough that she's had for ages and ages. She's had medical checks etc., but it just won't shift so she's hoping the old idea of sea air will do the trick.
I did suggest Spain might be a good idea ;) :D

Our Valentines dinner was lovely, duck and noodles with veg and plum sauce :)
Bb was almost himself but is still in bed again now...he's getting there.
Not sure of plans today, if he's up to it will get him out for a little bit of fresh air, plus I guess there's shopping to do, I only got the stuff for last night's dinner yesterday.
Hope you all have a good day
Di

Good morning Di and all, it's a dull one here too.

I'm just about to take Billy out and when I come back there's ironing to do, hoovering and I think I'll make a chicken pie for dinner. Tom's here for Sunday dinner which is rare since he usually works but can't this weekend because of his foot so it'll be nice to have the four of us around the table :)

Glad to hear that Fluman is on the mend Di, have a good day all!

Morning Di, Jo, morning everyone

Cloudy again this morning and looks in for the day

Glad Bb is getting there Di, even if it's very slowly. Flu takes time to get over, doesn't it? I remember, years ago, we both went down with it - didn't leave the bed for a week, apart from brief forays down for tinned soup and loo visits. Our local pub were so concerned, they sent the cook over with Sunday lunch :D :D Took us 2 days to eat it

It's three years since Gladys arrived, so we're off down to the Capri for dinner :D :D :D Tom is joining us, as our treat, for helping us so much with our investments.

Hope you all have a good a day as you can xx and hugs for the poorlies x

Morning all. It's really damp and misty out there.

Millie is walked and I'm back in a dressing gown after a shower to warm up. I'm waiting for S to surface as she wants a lift to A's - I'm not waking her up. She told him she'd be there at 11 and its a 30 minute journey!

I'm going to call at Matalan on my way back as I have a voucher and I noticed they had some sports stuff in. I want a hoodie or top with either a reflective strip or colour on so I can run at night if I don't get time in an afternoon - everything I run in is black!

Then home to not do an awful lot!

Afternoon all. I was awake around 6am but then fell back into a deep sleep, had some awful dreams and woke with the beginnings of a migraine  Thankfully a magic pill with my breakfast stopped it in its tracks. It was quite a pleasant morning, so we went for a walk on the pier but it turned really dull and damp so we didn't go too far. Of course now the sun has come out and it looks nice again

Want to make some soup as I have a friend coming for lunch tomorrow. I think I'll change the sheets and I also plan to make a banana bread and butter pudding for today that I saw on the internet, hopefully it will be tasty. Call the Midwife tonight and that new series Indian Summers looks like something we might enjoy. Have a good Sunday everyone :)
