It's thawing here and I hope that will be it for the snow now Not too many plans today, other than the WW meeting this evening.........

Good morning all, not much of a thaw going on here and another heavy snowfall forecast for tomorrow. The footpaths are so very treacherous so here I am, I'm not going out and risking it
I've just tried to renew Tom's discount bus pass (all journeys starting or ending within the county are £1 for up to 19 year olds) as it expires on his birthday in two weeks but after going through the whole application online and uploading a photo it says that the system can't verify the application as it needs countersigning by an 'appropriate adult' who isn't related so I need to print it off, get it signed and mail it but I've just switched on the printer and found that Tom's used all but one sheet of printer paper doing his homework. Aaaargh! Can't understand why the application has been deferred - the only reason it gives in the FAQ is it will do that if you can't be verified on the school database, have left school or have moved. He's still at school and we've not moved since we applied for his first card. Might give them a ring actually.

A late rise would have been nice, since next door's daughter is staying and is a noisy madam, especially around midnight!
But the postman knocked at 7 with a parcel. It used to be 7.30 which is bad enough, but the last few times it's been 7
It's almost always work parcels for Bb, but today it was a china bowl that was free for buying 2 packs of McCain spicy wedges

Lovely and bright here now, which is good to see, I know snow and ice are a big nuisance but all we've had since it went was more and more rain.
A blast of h-word today, other than that not sure.

Very icy here, the road outside looks like a skating rink, but I think the thaw is on it's way. Fingers crossed anyway as we're hoping to drive to Kent tomorrow to see our little boys, it's our last chance to see them before we go away.

Haven't been able to visit mother because of the snow, but rang the CH yesterday and her mood is still quite stable. Popping over there shortly so hope to find her reasonably cheerful.

We lost our lovely boy Milo 2 years ago and i wanted another
dog but OH says it is unfair as we are getting too old to
exercise one now and he says knowing me i would probably
trip over it and break my leg
