Good Morning Thursday

Postby Kaz » 12 Feb 2015, 07:38

Good Morning Campers!!

We're up at the crack of dawn, as a phone call from the furniture co, saying our sofa is on its way, bounced us out of bed at about 6.50    Still, at least we're getting the damned thing this time ;) In a way it's good as it means the rest of Mick's day off is free, so we might get to go out later 8-) I got the rest of the curtain rings I needed yesterday to put up my curtains :) I think someone asked what colour curtains? Cream and self-embossed, to match the long one on the patio window :) ;)

Have a good day all :) xxxxxx

Morning all, it's dull here and I'm hoping any rain will keep away so that I can escape for a long, long, long walk with Billy.

I'm posting from a changing cubicle in the gym, just about to head in for a workout. I've bought my Kindle too and the cafe in the leisure centre has closed down so I'm wondering if it's acceptable to sit in the library and read a Kindle or will I be booted out

Have a good day all, and great news that your sofa is on it's way Kaz - not just for you but for Kevin too (was that the Facebook man's name?).I bet he loaded it onto the delivery lorry himself :P  ;)

Morning all - a rather grey and dull morning here. Usual work day for me and then off meeting a friend for dinner tonight. We're going to a place that serves only one meal - steak and frites... apparently you walk in, tell them how you like you steak and what you'd like to drink and that's it. You'll get a salad to start and then 1/2 the steak arrives with some fries and whilst you're eating that they cook the 2nd half of the steak so it's nice and warm then that arrives with more fries... I so can't wait - yum!!!

Kaz, good luck with the sofa
Jo, just being curious, why are you planning sitting in the library to read your kindle vs going home where it's probably more comfy? Surely the family isn't spending the day at yours - they're here to do a job that involves being somewhere else, aren't they? :? ;)

Tomorrow I have the day off - Nadine and I are planning heading to Wisley to see the butterflies in the greenhouse. Nadine wants to take some photo's (she's got a new camera so wants to practice) but I'm worried the weather isn't going to be conducive to good photography; it's mean to be rather wet tomorrow :(

As always, continued vibes to those who need them. And everyone else - have a lovely day whatever it is you're up to

Jo, Kevin's had a lucky escape :P - the sofa is here and just perfect!! Might take some pics later, once the curtains are up as well 8-)

Oooh yum Ria, I love steak 8-) :D :D Enjoy! 8-) You know I often read or do my crossword out and about, in Waterstone's or Coffee#1 :) I might be slightly more comfy at home (on me new sofas :P ) but I quite like the buzz of being around other people 8-) :)

Good morning all.

Just back from my morning walk.
It's dull and rather cool here -just right for a brisk walk.

I'm sorting out and re-arranging my CD collection this morning.
That will keep me busy.

Have a nice day.

Morning all.

I'm at work. A couple of weeks ago I said I'd do some extra hours today completely forgetting it is half term. But never mind - its only until around 12pm and the girls are off out with friends so hardly need me. Run after work and then meeting mum at the solicitors - I'll probably take her for coffee after.

Jo - get yourself home and drop a few (not too) subtle hints to your sister in law whilst John isn't around to hear you! And if they are still with you next week make sure that the boys are as noisy as possible with as many mates around as possible (its half term isn't it for you next week).
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!

Morning everyone

We have sunshine :D :D :D not a huge amount, and not very hot, but blue sky comes with it - so hopefully, a wamrer day than we've had recently.

Well done Kevin    Glad it's arrived Kaz, and nice and early too :D

Ria, can I come too please? Would love a steak - brown all the way through please. Not cremated, just cooked all the way through :D :D

We're off cooker and work-top hunting. As Di knows, I have the worlds worst cooker and it's 9 years old. I had to buy a work-top electric oven to cooks things in    So we'll need more work-top, a gas hob and an electric oven - which has dials on, which can tell me the temperature    We'll see though, as it's probably about 400 euros worth.

Hugs to the poorlies - and their nurses ;) xx

Have as good a day as you can everyone xx

Morning all :D

We had a lovely day yesterday. The show was brilliant and the meal afterwards went down very well. We were so relaxed we forgot the time and ended up getting a later train than planned so didn't get home until 10.30ish.

Glad the sofa's arriving as promised kaz, piccies please :D

Good luck with the cooker hunt Ton.

Off out to do some shopping after brekkie, M&S and then Tesco. Will be looking for something special for dinner on Valentine's day and need to stock up for the boys who will be with us from this Sunday through to Wednesday. Next week definitely won't be one of our lazy ones

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all :)
Dull again here although it has brightened slightly in the last half hour or so.

Glad you had such a good time Jen, it sounded a lovely day out :)
I think all the s/markets have Valentines deals so it's more a question of what you fancy :)
Kaz very glad the sofa came nice and early :)

Ton yes you do deserve a nice new cooker; after all they get used most days of the year so not such bad value ;)
Meriad that steak place would suit me down to the ground, that's all the choice I need - mind you, if that's all they're doing the steak had jolly well better be cooked exactly as you want it ;) :D

Think this particular strain of 'flu should be christened the Sleeping 'Flu lol - I know any 'flu does make you sleep a lot, and I do know Bb's a Sleeper (he could do it professionally) but this really is extreme :D

More washing in - he's one of those who dumps stuff on a chair that he has in the bedroom specifically for the purpose of dumping - so I've almost emptied it ;)

And I've got a big pack of pork mince out of the freezer to make chilli - I no longer care whether he fancies it or not, since he doesn't really fancy anything :D
He can have beans on toast if he doesn't want it, and at least we'll then have a couple of ready-meals in the freezer :)
