Morning all--much warmer and brighter today :D
When we had our new suite i made arrangements with a charity
to pick up our old leather one. They came two weeks before the date
they had said .
The delivery of the new suite was then altered to three weeks later than
planned so we had no furniture to sit on
It became quite a laugh as i went out and bought 2 posh garden chairs and
we used them.
The furniture company gave us a set of cleaning equipment--shampoo, detergent
etc worth about £25 so we were satisfied to some extent :)

Good afternoon all.

It's a lovely spring-like day here.
We've been on our usual Monday supermarket shopping trip this morning.
Went to Sainsburys instead of Aldi, and were shocked at how much extra we had to pay.
We also had the car cleaned there, ready for our mystery buyer

Hope you are all well.

I don't know who I'm madder with, the sofa people or him :x :x

Make him sit on the floor until Thursday whilst you lounge on your new sofa.

That'll teach him!

Afternoon all. First chance I've had to come on.

Busy day for me. I dropped the girls (and dog) off at my mums this morning. They (the girls, not the dog - Mick is supposed to be collecting her later though I don't hold out much chance of him remembering) are staying with mum until Wednesday. Its half term here and I have a busy few days at work so it seemed sensible - they tend to go there during half term as most of their friends live around mum and we also thought it would be company for mum. L seems to be staying for longer than two nights - she took her case (one of those trolley dolly style ones), her hold all, her bag of teddies, her bag of swimming stuff and her onesie which wouldn't fit in the case!

Then drive to head office at Coalville for a website meeting (I'm the only one left in the room now, hence my being on here). Call at mega Tesco on the way back and then I'm calling in on my friend (she of the tap up her bum fame) to see her new house, then straight on to WW (gulp - I don't think the scales will be kind today even though I'm only eating lettuce leaves) and then pick up my friend (not the tap up the bum friend, another one) and we are off out for dinner - chips. I feel like chips.

Good afternoon all, sorry for being MIA - it's been a busy old 7 days or so!

We finished the bedroom furniture and I love it!! A lot of sorting out has been done over the last week and bags were dropped off at the charity shop on Saturday. I just need to arrange now for them to collect the old furniture. Mom and Dad decided that they wanted to buy Tom a camera for his birthday, as well as some driving lessons, so I was tasked with the job of finding him one. I read far too many online reviews and looked at way too many sample photos on Google Images and after two days decided on the one I'd originally looked at  Friday night John and I went to see Kaiser Chiefs at the Civic Hall, they were fantastic as usual. Saturday was a run around day, charity shop, getting Toms cake sorted, visit parents and then on the night it was our friends' daughter's 18th birthday party. She and Tom have grown up together just like her Dad and I did. Yesterday I panicked about not having many presents for Tom so did an emergency run into Birmingham in the afternoon and we got sorted in HMV.

Today Tom's 18! John's picking my parents up on the way home from work for a few nibbles and birthday cake, and after we drop them back home we're all heading over to Jimmy Spices in Sutton Coldfield - I'll wave as I pass Ossie!

Hopefully tomorrow life will get back to normal(ish). Actually we'll have a day of normal before thing change again.

Kaz, I'd be annoyed too - I hate when anything like that happens!

Afternoon all, dull and damp here today. Went to the doctor this morning, they have a walk in surgery between 9-10, but I asked if I could see my own doctor if possible. I got to see her which was great, and she gave me a thorough examination. I have a kidney infection for which she has prescribed anti-bs.

We emptied a few more boxes when I got back, I wanted to get some of the baby stuff as we will be looking after Kellie on Wednesday, as well as Michael, getting back gradually into the weekly childminding as Miss Osc is getting back to work. She is opening up an office locally so that she can work a few days closer to home, she says she does get some local business so hopefully she will get more.

Taking it easy for the rest of the day, except that the kitchen guy is calling later to go through a snag list. Enjoy the rest of the day everyone :)
