trying to renew

O.H's EHIC card,stuck at the moment because online it asks for --

PPSN --???? --which is it

card ID number?? --which is it

i have tried all the numbers in varying ways but nothing works

anybody help--all the Gov.uk sites seem to work from UK not if your already abroad

should also say there are 3 phone numbers -that ring once and then cut off !

I have mine here - on the back are all the numbers (different to the old one).
It says 'No. 8 - Identification no. of the card' which is a 20-digit number.
PPSN is I think 'personal identification no.', which in my case is UK followed by 8 digits.

I have just looked at my old European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), Vic.

The card ID is the 19 digit number on the last line on the back - try inserting it without spaces. I think, though not sure, that the PPSN is for cards issued in Eire. However the card PIN is on the same line as your D.O.B. I think that is more likely to be the number needed.

Just been on the site. For renewals the two numbers needed are NI number and PIN number.
