Bookmarks

Postby Aggers » 04 Feb 2015, 14:44

Mrs A has asked me how she can get rid of the dozens of Bookmarks on her Android Tablet.
(It seems that they have accumulated, (unasked for), for every website she has visited.
I've tried but without success. Any ideas?

It is not really an Android problem, as such, a lot will depend on the browser being used. A bit of a convention is to highlight the bookmark and double tap. From the menu choose Edit, then choose delete/remove. It could be a bit of a pain for dozens of bookmarks.

Another method would be to do it via your laptop using MyPhoneExplorer. It is free and although mainly for phones it works with many tablets.

This might help.

But, just to be sure, are you talking tabs or bookmarks. Because you have to keep bookmarks but tabs just keep opening if you don't close them.

Just looking at my phone, you can pop up the tabs viewer by tapping on the multip tab icon (two tabs overlapping with a number on it), then when it's in tab viewer mode, you can select the menu and tap on Close all Windows.

Some thoughts.
