Morning all! It's cold and windy here but last night's snow is melting away.

We're still building furniture today. Yesterday we did my two wardrobes, which are now bolted together, John's corner wardrobe and the bed. Today there's John's other wardrobe, the two bedside cabinets and the drawers for under the bed. Really pleased with all that we've got so far and we've have done more yesterday but we had our neighbours' engagement party to go to last night. There were a few other people off the close there so it was nice to get together and it was at the pub/hotel just down the lane so was walkable.

Before we start though I've got to get my hair cut. It's less than 3 weeks since it was last cut but my hairdresser goes on holiday for nearly 3 weeks on Monday and there's no way I could leave my hair that long without a cut so she's going to tidy it a bit today, and then John and I are meeting up in Costa for coffee and a cake.

Have a good day all!

Morning all :)
Quite dull and a freezing cold wind but dry here so not all bad.

Ally we'll wait to hear whether you actually do stay in ;)
I'd love a Chinese takeaway once in a while but the only one here is rubbish (and has a 1-star hygiene rating so is out anyway!) so it comes down to buying supermarket offerings, which are very good but not quite the same :?
I caught Escape to the Winter sun yesterday afternoon on +1 because it was the Costa del Sol, but a bit of a disappointment as it was all much further west, around and past Marbella - stupid people! :D

Ton bhajis are ever so easy, you'll love them :D They do make you stink though ;)
Well done with the furniture Jo - nice to have a get-together too :)
Don't let her go as berserk as my hairdresser will you - I'm still getting a shock when I catch sight of my shorn head  Tbf it was my fault, I did keep hearing this voice saying 'shorter, shorter'

Bb's working but hasn't got many to do so is expecting to be back by lunchtime. We're planning on a quick trip to W/rose for the paper (free), some wine, and a nice pizza for tonight :D

Hope Kaz etc have a good journey and no snow problems and a lovely time with H :)
Continued vibes of course for Mr Pp and for Ally's dad (Alidad!)

Morning all :D

Been up ages honest, just prepared a big casserole for dinner this evening. It's been snowing lightly on and off all morning, not settling thank goodness.
E said he was surprised it wasn't colder when he went round for the papers, can't say that's encouraged me to go out though

We've appointed a solicitor so it's all go on the bungalow front. Just need to contact the surveyor on Monday. Sonia wants to be out mid March so everyone is aiming to get it done as speedily as possible. We're not in a huge rush, but of course we can't start getting proper quotes for the work we want to do until after exchange so we're happy to get it done in her timeframe. Also after the last two attempts it would be good to know it's secure so fingers tightly crossed this is third time lucky. It was nice to see it marked Sold STC on rightmove last night :D :D :D

No plans for today, staying in the warm and apart from the washing intend to be extreeeeemely lazy

Hope you all have a good day :D

Morning all, lovely and sunny but very windy and bitterly cold. Earlier on we walked down to the station to get tickets for our trip to Waterford tomorrow, and my eyes were watering like mad in the wind, should have worn my shades. Did you ever have one of those days where you get out of bed and wish you could get right back in? That's how I feel, I am sooooo tired and have a lot to do. Just sitting down for a rest before I tackle some ironing, then I am getting my hair done this afternoon, which means nice quiet time reading. I'll do my nails tonight and try to get to bed early as we need to be out of the house by about 7.45am in the morning. Looking forward to an afternoon of dancing tomorrow and a night away. Have a good day everyone :)

The day is young Ally ;)

For others, Bb reckoned Spanish was easy, all you had to do was add 'dad' to the end of any word - not what the rest of us would have thought, but once he'd pointed it out we did indeed see 'dad' everywhere :D
Can't tell you quite all of the vocabulary we invented though ;)

Well we had a very easy journey, both ways - no snow just a bit of rain and rather windy ;) We took H and his dad to a Harvester - H likes Harvesters as he can have unlimited salad and bread rolls 8-)   I was very good and just had grilled chicken breast and a jacket spud, no chips or pud    It was nice to spend a bit of time with him 8-) 8-) 8-)
