Di it's great to have you back properly 8-) :D The good luck worked for the dentist's and the sofas - my plate just had a wire slightly askew which he easily tweaked (hoorah) and we're got two new choc brown leather recliners (thicker leather this time!) and a footstool, coming in about a fortnight!! :D :D :D We got a free mirror as well, as part of the deal 8-) ;)

Osc it sounds as though you are settling in well - chuffed to bits for you!!! :D

Lucky you cruiser, we had sleet here this afternoon, and if it gets colder overnight we might well awaken to snow tomorrow :?

They sound lovely Kaz :)
Our sofas are dark brown, we got them the Autumn after we moved here; they were half price but still expensive - but looking at them now, you'd think 2-3 years old at the most :)

I know people do let their dogs on furniture, but one of the best tips I ever heard at dog training was 'imagine your dog is 'this' size, and that's how you should always apply rules'. Whether that's jumping up at visitors, pulling on the lead, or taking over the furniture, it's a good way of thinking.
They're dogs, and should be treated as dogs. Much-loved yes, part of the family yes, but animals, not people.
I've only ever had big dogs so it's maybe easier (although of course they started out as small puppies), but people with bigger dogs than ours still do it - I never have.

We have choc brown leather sofas too Kaz.

We got a 4 seater, 3 seater and a two seater and they are so comfy.

The two seater is mine...all mine!

:D I wanted the armchair from the range as well Ally, but unless we wall mount the telly there isn't room, and for various reasons we decided against that  'My' seat at the moment is one end of the current two-seater - it's nearest to the TV, and next to the side table and lamp 8-) I have every intention of keeping 'my' place :P

Di I do so agree - I allowed Mick and the kids to overrule me last time, when Pepper was a pup, but this time I mean business! I told B tonight, there was a bit of pouting but she's on board now ;)

These were pretty expensive, despite also being in a sale, but they are thick grained leather and will last much longer 8-) ;)

It's worth it Kaz - the expense and the dog thing - you don't want to be replacing them every few years do you?

And if you let the dogs on, you either have to have 'their' blanket on them, or if a visitor arrives frantically brush it all off - I won't have it
(And I'm definitely not fanatically houseproud either!) x

Mr L said Jasper would never be allowed on the sofa...but guess who is sleeping on the sofa with the dog at his feet? I don't mind Jasper on the sofa, but he has quilt on it for him...sometimes

We said exactly the same with the three puss cats   :?

So, I'd get home from work about 3.00, they'd lie on me and we'd all have a kip.

But trying to get them off

And then the little buffers would try and use the sofa as a scratch post
