Dad came home this afternoon. I am so cross. I know that they are busy on wards but not only had they not even washed the dried blood from his face after the operation (let alone helped him to have a wash) they never gave him any eye drops - he'd just had a cornea transplant ffs.

But he is home and in fine form. We don't know yet if it has worked - the eye is very sore and blood shot.

He is due back to see the consultant tomorrow so we will know more then. I have told my mum that she must tell the consultant about him not being given any drops until she got there at 2.30pm this afternoon. That could be the difference between it working and not working.

That is shocking Debih and totally not acceptable. Depending on the outcome of the appointment with the consultant tomorrow I'd write the hospital a very stinky note...

Hope all goes well tomorrow x

Deb, that is terrible. I know that staff are busy but to not even wipe the blood from his face? As Kaz said, it's neglect. I would most definitely be complaining.
I hope he gets good news tomorrow (((((Debbie and family)))))

Oh Debih, your poor dad...sadly it's just too damned common and no amount of public outrage seems to make a jot of difference
Hope the consultant has good news xxx

FFS is right! Hope the hospital hasn't stuffed up his op. I'd be suing them if it did.
