on the news today its been down graded in new york to a snow storm and all traffic is going back to normal on the streets
of course the DM headlines are we are now going to get inches of snow in uk
and old people to stay in doors

I had to call a hotel in NY to request a copy of the bill - the people in the accounts department understandably didn't make it in to work today and the poor lady that answered the phone had been there since yesterday and won't be able to get home until tomorrow.

As she said thankfully though it's a large hotel and they can put up all the staff

They did not get as much as expected in NY but what they did get was more than enough. If we get half that amount we will struggle like there is no tomorrow.

Ria, the poor woman, but I think that working in a big hotel during these time is a no bad thing. There will always be a bed, food, drinks, heating and lighting.

Daughter and son-in-law are fine
They could`nt do much yesterday so stayed put but today they
are out and about.
