Thank you all so much for your kind thoughts and wishes and especially Rodo for keeping you updated. Things are progressing very slowly and he is extremely exhausted but he has now also been diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis which could account for his recent slowness and muscle weakness. They are starting treatment for that last night or today and expect to see a marked improvement in his exhaustion. If so it will help enormously with his ability to do the physio that he needs to recover from the stroke. All the tubes and wires are gone now apart from two so that is encouraging. They expect him to be there for another two or three weeks and then on to rehab. My son who lives in England wants to drive over and take us to his house for the rehab period. He flew home last night when he was happy with his Dad's condition. He's a doctor and his wife is a nurse whose specialist area is PEG and rehab nursing and their house is more suitable as we have no bathroom facilities on our ground floor. This would only be if George can't manage stairs so we'll see when the time comes.
Thank you again for all your healing vibes and good wishes.
