The more snippets that come out the more it begins to look like a ding-dong between the Palace and certain sections of the media.

Harry in Afghanistan is simply the "hook", the excuse for us to take sides.

I agree with Ossie about reprisals, but I am more worried about the home-grown variety than those in areas already in conflict.

I do wish people would let that Vegas stuff drop - many many squaddies let off steam in similar ways - as Suff said maybe not in some luxurious surroundings but it is pretty normal behaviour, with willing parties, as were the girls in the Harry incident!

'Cos he's a likeable character who could be our son, and he lost his mum very publicly when he was very young. Unfortunately he's forced to live out his growing-up mistakes in the public eye.

Also because he's a political instrument for everyone who doesn't like the Royals, every newspaper who wants to sell copies and for everyone who just wants to have a moan about the current state of things.

Time we got out of our second childhood as a nation and grew "young" again.....

I must admit I never thought I'd miss the 70's and 80's but we have become such a prissy nation that I want to put a pink skirt on it and label it a Virgin. Just like all second time around (or third/fourth), virgin, it's a sham....

It's one of the reasons why I never buy a newspaper for me any more. I'm not interested in what they have to blather on about, I just want to see news in certain sectors. Google news gives me this very well. OK I miss some interesting stuff, but life is too short to wade through the rest of the BS.....

I like Harry, I think he is as normal as it is possible to be growing up as he has.

Him and Zara are a fantastic couple

Exactly ooj, poor chap he cannot win...I think the boys are a credit to the Royal family and I think the nit picking about his personal life leaves much to be desired, I am sure that a great many of us swam naked when young, many of us did things in mad moments that if our parents knew (if we had parents) would have raised their eyebrows.
As for the media, they would crucify the lad, he is doing a job, does any one really think he is out in Afghanistan to simply be flown around as a publicity stunt, keep your chin up Harry, enjoy life when you can, you looked simply like one of the lads in your pictures.. I for one am as proud of you as I am for the rest of our boys risking their lives... There would be a public wailing if the lad was killed on duty, let us be proud that at this time we have managed to retain our sovereignty almost against all odds. Long may they and our bright sparks continue.
