Good afternoon all, it's going quite dull here now and it's cold but thankfully not too icy out.
I'm just back from walking Billy. I went into town very first thing to get a loaf and a few bits, came home, did a few jobs and then was out with Billy by 9.40am. I was feeling so chuffed with myself for getting well ahead and knew we'd be about an hour. And then we bumped into a man on the common who talked and talked and talked and talked...and then talked some more. I'd never met him before but now I know his age (42), the ages of his kids and his stepkids, I know all about his new solar panels and the facts and figures about them, his health issues, where he lives, where he was born (East London), the ages of his siblings and how many he has (he's the oldest of 5 and the youngest is 21)...I even know how much his sister's boyfriend weighs!! I could go on...
And it turned out that he was looking at one of the houses the same as ours around the corner when we were buying ours - imagine bumping into him every day, we have to pass those houses to get to the path to the common!
Thankfully he had a dog so Billy was happily playing with him but I looked at my watch when we walked away from him and it was 11.25am so by the time we were home it was just before 11.50
Kaz, have a lovely time catching up with Becky!
Jen, glad that Adam didn't disappoint - he has one hell of a voice!
Have a good day all!
