He arrived just before we were about to eat

But he did apologise and explain. One of the gas cylinders exploded at the place where they're kept and there was gas everywhere and a small fire     He was still shaky though, poor lad.

Found the earring - John spotted it under the kitchen table, no sign of the back though!

Thanks re Tom! He's in trouble again though today. He called asking for a lift this afternoon so John (the mug) picked them up and when he came back he said that if I wanted to say anything to him about school now was the best time, and that there was a bribe on it's way too (???). A few minutes later Tom walked into the living room with a plate of homemade cupcakes in one hand and his 11 months old iPad Air which we bought him for his birthday last year in the other...with a smashed screen. It's looking like it'll be around £100 to get it repaired. John's told him that he can pay to get it fixed!

Kids! Who'd have 'em.

I agree Tom should pay. He has a job, he wants to be treated like an adult so let him pay.

I do wish John woukd stop taxiing them around though! It makes me cross every time you mention he's done it! Let them get a bus or pay for a taxi now and again!

I wish he would too Debbie, he's far too soft! Believe me, I get so annoyed by it. Tom's more inclined to get the bus or walk if he's on his own but if M's with him them he always asks for a lift.

Make sure you're wearing your red shoes in case you get blown away.

You'll never get home without them.
