Already dusted the lounge, made a pasta bake and put a load of washing on.

Off for a quick hill killer and back to get ready for work 2-5. :D :D

Enjoy the day. :) :)

Morning all. I had a fantastic nights sleep at long last and have woken up feeling really refreshed.

Up and out by 6am this morning to take Millie up the road (in my pj's again   - well, it was still dark) and then start with her feeding regime. I'm at work today and can only nip home for an hour at lunch which means only 1 feed at lunchtime rather than 3 so I am trying to get 4 feeds down her this morning. I will take her out for a walk when I get dressed to give her her fourth feed before I leave for work.

We had a small scattering of snow again last night but nothing major - just enough to cover the road again. Schools are both open.

It doesn't seem that cold out there and it doesn't seem to have really frozen during the night - a good thing as all our grit bins are empty. I will be ringing the council today (as will most of the neighbours) - we can't manage without grit on a hill this steep.

The sun is coming out and no clouds. Not cold. No frost on the car this morning when I went to the gym. Most of the snow has melted even on the side roads.

Morning everyone :) We had another light smattering of snow overnight, but most of the old stuff had already melted, and the new sprinkling is now melting 8-) :D :D Thank goodness! More forecast for tomorrow and thursday, but I'm trying not to think about that

Food shopping today I think, then home to iron some of what I washed and dried yesterday - only a bit of it needs ironing though thanks to the tumble drier 8-)

First day of my new elimination diet - this should be interesting :? For a start I'll have to carry a little bottle of goat's milk with me in case I fancy a cuppa when I'm out  MIL does that as she also avoids cow's dairy for health reasons.............

Enjoy your day everyone :) xxxxx

Morning all. I'm not going to the gym this morning, it's far too icy out there underfoot but at least it finally stopped snowing last night (although more if forecast for today) and the sun is weakly shining. You can tell how bad it is in the area, I've just been listening to the local radio news and the A38 Aston Expressway, one of the busiest roads in the Midlands which leads from Spaghetti Junction into the city centre, has been closed on one side due to icy conditions whilst the other carriageway has had a rolling closure to allow for intensive de-icing :?
Tom and Joe's school is open today though others are still closed.

Saundra it's bin day for us today but services have been suspended since Friday though they hope to be back on the road today so we've just got to leave the bin out and they'll get to them when they can.

Morning everyone

it's absolutely chucking it down outside  stair rods come to mind and I've had to put the light on it's so dark  But at least it warm

We were supposed to go to Olhao, tax the car and then do shopping, but I think we'll wait a while

So I might be ironing or I might be shopping then soup making, we'll see.

Stay safe and warm over there xx

It's just cow's dairy I can't have Saundra. I can have goat's milk, goat's cheese and even goat's yoghurt and ice cream. A brand called St Helen's Farm is available in Sainsbury's :) I have already changed to the milk, it's really nice in tea :) I can buy or make gluten-free bread, or use rice cakes which I like anyway - I am fine with potatoes, rice and veg and all fruit except strawberries.......I won't be going without anything important to my health I promise 8-) It should actually be very healthy..........

Morning :)
What remained of our snow has been steadily drip drip dripping and has almost all gone now.
It's not very nice, it's dull with a biting cold wind, but at least we can get out and about. Bb's not working till later so I shall go into town in a while.

Saundra I can't have normal milk but cheese is fine, and yoghurt too. It can depend on the process involved; milk has lactose which is often the problem, and you can buy lactose-free cows milk. Bb's youngest has a very strong lactose allergy but can also have yoghurt and cheese. For other people it's any cows milk product.
I drink barely any milk, but eat quite a bit of cheese, and a lot of green leafy veg which is a good source of calcium too ;)
The problem can be in spotting it as an ingredient (some crisps, all sorts of things, have milk powder added) - which is another good reason to only eat real food :)

Anyroad, yesterday's soup is yum; since Loz said she was making smoked bacon & lentil, I'd fancied it, so used a couple of rashers of smoked streaky bacon, an onion and carrot, red lentils - and my freezer-saved turkey stock :) Plenty left too, so we will both have some today.

Good luck with Millie Debih, and do get dressed girl :D
