I went on the usual dog walk. I've been doing it every day (apart from when Millie had her poorly foot) along the canal. One mile to the wharf and then back again. Its been taking me around 30 minutes at a very brisk walk.

Today I decided to run! Only small, short bursts of running but I managed 6 lots of running in the two miles.

And I felt fab!

I still did it in the same amount of time as my walk slowed slightly between runs.

Be careful Debih - this is how I started (without Millie of course! ) and it soon gets addictive. :D :D

   re the sports bra - boobydoo.com are good.

I'll have a look at their website.

Well done you I am impressed!

I know I really should find some form of exercise to do; and make the time for it - but..... it's hard work just thinking about it, never mind doing it

I had to really force myself out this morning Ria (and most days).

When I am at work I am coming home, getting changed and going straight out. But I have the luxury of working part time so my coming home from work can be anywhere between 12pm and 2pm. And I have a dog that needs walking!

It was a struggle this morning - the fire was lit and the house was lovely and warm. It was really cold out and I could hear someone scraping ice off their car so that put me off too. But then Millie got her ball and started throwing it for herself - she goes to the top of the stairs and lets the ball fall down and chases after it - which meant she needed exercise.

I didn't put my coat on as I knew the cold would make me move faster!! I had my joggy bottoms on, my hoodie, a beanie hat and my fingerless gloves. I looked the part!

It was pretty icy on the carpark near the canal but the canal path was fine and there were fewer people around because it was cold. And I was home by 10am.

I am going to make myself go every day. I doubt I will run over the weekend as the canal path will be too busy if the weather is nice but I'm going to keep it up. Walk quick and then run whenever I feel able. I don't want to push myself to run for long stretches until I feel ready as I know that will just put me off.

Well done Debbie!

I've often try when I take Billy out but he gets far too excited and leaps around me, it's all I can do to not fall over him  He's the same with John if he's on his bike. He sometimes comes to meet us if I'm out when he gets back from a ride but he has to push his bike home, during the holidays he was pushing it and Billy thought it was great fun to keep clambering through the actual frame. If he sees anyone else running or cycling though he's fine and takes no notice.

When I run which isn't often, but I do love it, I run to the count of 20, then walk for the count of 20, then build it to 30 etc. I just don't have the self discipline, but I enjoy it My problem is if I run before breakfast I go all dizzy and nearly pass out, but if I run after breakfast I nearly chuck it up
