I just ran!!!!

Postby debih » 16 Jan 2015, 10:18

I am in a state of shock!

I went on the usual dog walk. I've been doing it every day (apart from when Millie had her poorly foot) along the canal. One mile to the wharf and then back again. Its been taking me around 30 minutes at a very brisk walk.

Today I decided to run! Only small, short bursts of running but I managed 6 lots of running in the two miles.

And I felt fab!

I still did it in the same amount of time as my walk slowed slightly between runs.

Wowee, brilliant :D
Btw, do take care won't you, do you have decent trainers? Knees and ankles and things are quite easily damaged xx

My trainers are okay but if I decide running is for me then I know that I will need a new pair. These were a pair that were given to me a few years ago by a friends son - he had taken up running for about 2 weeks and she bought him a very expensive pair of running shoes.

I do need a new sports bra though.

Wow well done, the only running I ever do is for a bus    Seriously I wish I could run, it's soooo good for burning calories :D

Sounds like you need a proper schedule Deb, I know several mutual friends who could advise you on that one 8-) :) ;)

The first thing I did when I got back to the car was send Fruity a very excited text (though I have an awful feeling it went to Steve!!!).

Be careful Debih - this is how I started (without Millie of course! ) and it soon gets addictive. :D :D
