Oooh oooh looks like it's happening!!!!

It looks as if we will be moving to our new house on Monday! That's the day our rental agreement finishes here and we have decided to just go for it. It is all systems go in the house now, we were there yesterday and every time we are there, we can see that loads is being done all the time. The younger builder is supposed to be having an operation on Monday which he has already postponed once before Christmas and he needs to have it. Also, quite honestly we have had enough with not living in Howth, where we are is fine and we have been very happy but it's not Howth, so we have decided to just do it. There is so much that we cannot do or decide on until we are living there and that will be the same whether we move on Monday or in a few weeks time, so we are going for it.

The builder and ourselves arranged yesterday to have the carpets fitted on Monday morning - then today I get a call from the shop to say that the carpet we chose won't be available until maybe Thursday Off we went to the shop and chose a different colour from the same range which is in stock, so we got over that hiccup. Yesterday and today have been busy with lots of phone calls, and we were out and about picking up various bits and pieces. Don't worry if I'm not around for the next few days, might just be busy

As for moving in whilst things are being finished, I was once in a similar position (with my ex, when we had our bungalow renovated) and it is true, you do need to live in a place sometimes to see what needs to be done, so I think you are very wise
