John's been working oop north today. I wish he'd stayed over, it's been a long day for him and he's come home tired and grumpy

Mick got an early train as an incident in West London meant the trains coming west were affected, and he was worried about being stranded BT are so tight, all that guy got for 35 years service was a certificate!! Mick felt a bit embarrassed to be presenting it, he thought there would be vouchers or something in the envelope for him

They've really cut back! Mick has heard of people getting hundreds before now, either vouchers or those visa type cards you can spend anywhere...........

I got £200 for 10 years! It had to be spent on something specific, there were rules, but that's how we bought the lovely print of Hengistbury Head to remind us of our gorgeous view

I can't get over how tight they are lately Mick often used to get little 'rewards' in the way of vouchers, for technical ideas and stuff, but those all seem to have gone by the wayside as well

I got a Longines gold wrist watch for 25 years service with the company I last worked for.

That's nice Aggers, a decent 'reward' for loyal service. This certificate business yesterday was worse than nothing IMO, a bit of an insult really
